FAQs

Is The Produce USDA Certified Organic?

We are not a certified organic farm, but that doesn’t mean we don’t believe that is how we should be growing our produce. Negating hundreds of hours of labor growing beautiful, nutritious vegetables by spraying poison on them is not how we do things. All of our inputs are OMRI certified, because paying a little more for the best quality you can find is usually the better deal.

What Is A CSA And Is It Right For Me?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. In short, it is a subscription to our farm. Members pay in advance for a weekly share of our harvest.

CSA members understand the importance of fresh, local, and organically grown food. If you prepare a lot of your own food at home using fresh ingredients, then our CSA is a great fit for you. Members view their kitchen as a creative space and are not afraid to try something new; loving the idea of transforming the freshest seasonal ingredients available into the most delicious meals possible. We do our best to put together a weekly box that is both interesting and approachable. There will be a focus on the more popular and well known items, but you are going to get the occasional radish, napa cabbage, hot peppers, and even turnips. We are always an email away for cooking tips for veggies you may have never tried.

How Many Weeks Are Each CSA?

Each season’s CSA [ Spring, Summer, and Fall ] operate for 8 weeks at a time.

CSA boxes are harvested, packaged, and delivered to your pick-up location.

How Many Servings Per Box Will A CSA Provide, And What Can I Expect?

Our shares aim to include 5 - 7 varieties, bunched or bagged. This is our goal, but not our guarantee. We choose our crop varieties based on how tasty and vigorous they are, and grow them seasonally. We harvest carefully to maintain quality and deliver promptly to guarantee freshness. It is in our best interest to put together an interesting and diverse box so you’ll want to stay with us season after season. More popular staple items will be in your boxes most often with specialty crops spread throughout the season to add interesting flavors and flair.

Each week expect to receive your bountiful box of produce, along with an occasional recipe and wellness card.

Can I Swap Items?

Unfortunately, not always. We are a small family farm and do not have the logistics setup to swap items. However, if you are unsure about how to best utilize your produce we are happy to give suggestions on creating a meal or if you are allergic to certain items please send an email.

Is The CSA Refundable?

Shares are not refundable at any point throughout the growing season.
